Villagers would like to self-sustain. As of the writing of this blog, there have not been many visitors because of Covid. Villagers would like to preserve wildlife, but lack resources to make a greater effort other than occasionally guarding against poaching.

Poaching has increased in outlying areas due to the collapse of the tourism industry.

Modeling a unique approach to crowdfunding, Ubuntu Village teams up with Lubangwe Village, Zimbabwe. Known as the Matetsi Rural Project by Taku Mutepfa. Every project begins with an idea, but it’s what happens to that idea along the way that counts.
