What Will I Become Now

There was a time that I stood up in front of the mirror and looked for answers in my reflection—wondering what I would become, how time would change me, and if the woman I was becoming would even recognize the woman I was.

A Reflection on Meeting Myself in the Future

But today, I know something about the future that my younger self did not, as I am deeper in wisdom and rootedness—and clearer about what I inherit from my ancestors:

Becoming is not a destination.

It is a remembering.

The Future Is Bright Still—Just Not the Way I Used to See It

The future will not only be a product of machines, medicine, or innovation. It is shaped by the stories we inherit, the rituals we practice, the communities we nurture, and the ancestors walking alongside us, their DNA flowing through us.

The future will not be solely technological. It is spiritual. It is communal. It is embodied. And it is already happening within us.

The Spirit Leads, But the Body Decides 🔥

Aging is not decay. Aging is initiation. Every wrinkle is a record. Every scar is a scripture. Every lesson is a lineage.

My future self will not critique how I looked. She will ask just one question: “Did you have a full life in the body you have chosen?”

Reuniting With My Future Self

She would not be a stranger; today’s self would greet the future self like an old friend. She would say: “You honored your calling.” “You trusted your intuition.” “You didn’t abandon your softness.” “You remembered who you were.”

✨ So, What Will I Become?

I will become more of myself. More aligned. More ancestral. More intuitive. More expansive. Evermore rooted in meaning and mutuality.

Because becoming is not about metamorphosis. It is about returning. Returning to truth. Returning to purpose. Returning to self.

A Blessing for Becoming Yourself

Your future self is not waiting for you in a distant tomorrow. She walks with you now. She is proud of you already. And when you finally come face-to-face with her, you’ll know her right away — she has been with you all the time.
